Never sign an agreement in the spur of the moment.
Tips
Sales methods used by timeshare companies are perfectly designed to press for an agreement to be signed by clients on the same day as they have known the product. Do sign nothing at all, although you will be told that the offer (which then will turn out to be less interesting than it seems to be) can be made on that day only. But nothing could be further from the truth
We know some cases in which the pressure on the potential buyer is completely bondless, even we have some clients who have told us that the insinuations were almost threats.
Everything is thought to make you sign the agreement immediately by using some methods designed to make clients be excited and, where necessary, press them to exhaustion.
We have heard about some specific cases where you sign a bill of exchange, even others where clients leave the sales room having signed the bank credit agreement, which proves the complicity or permissiveness of banks which, before some cases of clear abuse, have preferred to look the other way.
Our main piece of advice will be always NOT to attend timeshare presentations, but in any case NEVER SIGN AN AGREEMENT ON THE SAME DAY unless you are accompanied by a jurist and have had time to think about the consequences.
If you have entered into an agreement recently but have not completed it yet, do contact us and we will advise you about how to cancel it without you having to pay any penalty or cancellation costs.
