Incentive Leisure Group in the dock for alleged fraud

The holiday club marketing firm Incentive Leisure Group has been taken to court for 36 counts of fraud. The firm denies having deceitfully stated that those people who paid some thousands of pounds to join Designer Way Vacation Club could recover up to 130% of their money through a cashback scheme.

Brussels is planning more changes in timeshare laws

As stated by the EU itself, after Act 42/1998 timeshare scams have dropped significantly. Nevertheless nowadays Brussels is considering new measures to stop these abuses for ever. Some law sources with whom this matter has been discussed consider this law as positive but in no way permanent, since although we cannot use the word obsolete we should change some features of this law to avoid law frauds which are being committed even today provoking the consumer`s defencelessness in many cases
